1. Purpose and Scope

This Responsible Use Policy defines acceptable and unacceptable behavior on LearnJoin. Its purpose is to maintain a safe learning environment, prevent abuse and misuse, protect students, teachers, and families, and protect platform integrity and stability. It applies to all users — students, teachers, parents and family accounts, support staff, and administrators — at all times while using the Platform.

The core rule: all users must use LearnJoin respectfully, lawfully, and responsibly. Users must not harm others, disrupt learning, or misuse platform tools.

2. Respect, Interaction, and Cultural Dignity

Users must communicate respectfully, maintain appropriate conduct, and avoid harmful behavior. Harassment, insults, intimidation, and degrading language are prohibited.

LearnJoin does not allow targeted mockery of any religion or group, or abusive or harmful behavior toward beliefs. Respectful discussion and disagreement are allowed; harmful conduct disguised as opinion is not. Enforcement is based on impact and behavior, not belief alone. LearnJoin is a zero-tolerance platform for conduct that endangers minors: any sexualized conduct, grooming, solicitation, or exploitation involving a minor results in immediate permanent removal and, where required or permitted by law, referral to authorities.

3. Harassment, Cyberbullying, and False Information

Users must not engage in repeated harassment, intimidation, bullying, or targeting of individuals — including repeated negative messages, aggressive communication, and deliberate disruption. Violations may result in warnings, restrictions, or suspension.

Users must not misrepresent identity, provide false data, or create misleading content. Users must not share harmful, disruptive, or inappropriate material in chat, classrooms, or profiles. LearnJoin may restrict accounts and remove content.

4. Misuse of Platform Features

Users must not abuse messaging systems, manipulate scheduling, exploit system bugs, misuse booking tools, create fake bookings, spam messages, or send repeated unwanted communication. Violations may result in communication restrictions or account action.

5. Classroom Behavior and Group Responsibility

During lessons, users must follow teacher guidance, behave respectfully, and avoid disruption. Excessive interruption, creating conflict, and disturbing group sessions are not allowed. Teachers may manage classroom behavior and remove disruptive participants where the system allows, exercised reasonably and without abuse; LearnJoin may review misuse of removal actions.

For group and family bookings, the booking user is responsible for invited participants, and all participants must follow these rules. LearnJoin is not responsible for disputes between participants.

6. Reporting System and False Reports

Users may report harmful behavior, violations, and safety concerns. Reports may be reviewed using platform logs and communication data — limited, justified use only, connected to our Privacy Policy. LearnJoin does not automatically side with the reporting party.

Users must not submit false reports, exaggerate claims, or weaponize reporting tools. Repeated false reporting may result in report restrictions or account suspension.

7. Enforcement System

LearnJoin uses progressive enforcement: (1) warning, (2) feature restriction, (3) temporary suspension, (4) permanent removal. Severe violations — including zero-tolerance child-safety violations, fraud, and coordinated abuse — may skip steps and result in immediate removal without prior notice.

Repeat violations accelerate enforcement. LearnJoin may act against users who coordinate harmful activity, attempt to disrupt the platform, or abuse systems at scale, and may act on repeated borderline behavior, emerging patterns of harm, and indirect disruption — proactive protection, not only reaction. Removed users may be restricted from returning and may require review before reinstatement. All decisions are made in good faith based on available data. Access to the platform is not guaranteed; continued use depends on compliance.

8. Off-Platform Communication, Lessons, and Fee Bypass

LearnJoin is designed to provide a complete and secure learning environment within the platform. Users are strongly encouraged to communicate through LearnJoin messaging, schedule through LearnJoin, and conduct lessons within LearnJoin classrooms.

Payment and booking restriction. Users must not arrange paid lessons outside LearnJoin to avoid platform fees, and must not redirect transactions to external platforms for payment purposes. This protects platform integrity, user safety, dispute handling, and payment security — and it protects the commercial model that keeps LearnJoin running. Attempts to bypass the platform may result in warnings, restrictions, suspension, or removal.

Limited external communication for coordination is permitted, but must not be used to bypass LearnJoin systems, move paid lessons off-platform, or avoid platform rules. If users choose to conduct lessons outside LearnJoin, they do so entirely at their own risk: LearnJoin cannot verify, monitor, or protect off-platform interactions and is not responsible for off-platform payments, disputes, lesson quality, or safety. LearnJoin may monitor patterns suggesting off-platform redirection and take protective action.

9. Final Principles

LearnJoin exists to support learning, maintain safety, and prevent harm. LearnJoin balances user expression with platform safety: normal discussion is allowed; harmful behavior is not. Users who act against these goals may lose access to the platform. This policy operates together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Payment Policy, Tutor Standards Policy, and Rewards & Coupons Policy.
