Required conduct, lesson expectations, and enforcement standards for every teacher on LearnJoin.

1. Purpose and Teacher Status
This Tutor Standards Policy defines required teacher conduct, lesson expectations, platform responsibilities, and enforcement standards. Its purpose is to protect students and families, maintain consistent teaching quality, reduce disputes, and protect LearnJoin from liability.
All teachers on LearnJoin are independent service providers. Teachers are not employees, agents, or representatives of LearnJoin. Teachers are solely responsible for their lesson content, teaching quality, communication, scheduling, and conduct. LearnJoin provides the platform, does not control teaching style, and does not guarantee outcomes. Teachers acknowledge they are responsible for their service; LearnJoin provides the platform only.
2. Professional Conduct and Respect
Teachers must behave respectfully, maintain professionalism, and create a safe learning environment. Teachers must never insult or degrade students, behave aggressively, create discomfort or fear, or engage in harassment. Zero tolerance: any inappropriate conduct involving a minor — sexualized behavior, grooming, solicitation, or exploitation — results in immediate permanent removal and referral to authorities where required or permitted by law.
Teachers must communicate clearly, remain patient, and handle disagreements calmly. Correction, structured discipline, and normal discussion are allowed; humiliation, targeted mockery, and harmful behavior are not. Enforcement is based on behavior and impact, not tone alone. Teachers must not pressure students, misuse chat, or send harmful or irrelevant content.
3. Lesson Delivery and Scheduling Integrity
Teachers must attend scheduled lessons, deliver lessons in good faith, and remain present for the full duration. Teachers must not repeatedly miss lessons, leave early without reason, or misuse lesson time.
Teachers must maintain accurate availability and avoid misleading schedules. Repeated scheduling issues may result in reduced visibility, booking restrictions, or account review.
Absences and excuses. If a teacher cannot attend a lesson, the platform's excuse routes must be used: an emergency report, a valid-excuse report filed in advance, or — for genuine exhaustion — the limited weekly reschedule allowance, which is capped and tracked. Filing an honest report protects the teacher's standing; silent no-shows do not.
Post-lesson confirmation. After each lesson, teachers must confirm the lesson took place (and answer whether homework was assigned). Payment is released only after both sides confirm. Teachers receive up to three reminders; after the third, confirmation becomes required before continuing to use lesson features.
4. Classroom Control and Group Lessons
Teachers are responsible for managing the lesson environment and maintaining order. Teachers may guide lesson flow, manage participation, and remove disruptive participants where the system allows — exercised fairly and without abuse.
In group and family lessons, teachers must manage multiple students fairly and ensure balanced participation. Teachers are not responsible for disputes between students or behavior outside the classroom. When problems occur, teachers must stay calm, avoid escalation, and act professionally.
5. Performance and Quality Standards
Teachers are expected to maintain punctuality, attendance, engagement, and consistency. Repeated failures — late starts, missed lessons, poor responsiveness — may result in reduced exposure, restricted bookings, or account review.
LearnJoin does not enforce a single teaching style, but requires clarity, consistency, and reasonable effort. Teachers are not required to guarantee results or satisfy every expectation, and are not responsible for student outcomes, memorization success, or learning speed. This protects teachers and the platform against claims based purely on unmet expectations.
6. Complaints, False Reports, and Reviews
Students and parents may submit complaints regarding behavior, attendance, or communication. LearnJoin may review lesson records, communication logs, and platform data. Complaints must be specific and supported by evidence; vague, abusive, or unsupported complaints may be rejected. Users who repeatedly submit false, exaggerated, or abusive complaints may face restriction or suspension.
LearnJoin may moderate reviews and remove misleading or abusive feedback. False reviews and harmful exaggerations are not permitted.
7. Misconduct, Fraud, and Reputation Protection
Misconduct includes repeated absence, harmful communication, misuse of platform tools, and disruptive behavior. Teachers must not create fake bookings, manipulate schedules, or exploit payment systems; such violations may result in immediate removal.
LearnJoin may act where patterns of dissatisfaction appear or platform trust is impacted — even without a single major violation. Patterns count. LearnJoin may also act proactively in edge cases: repeated cancellations across multiple users, inconsistent behavior, and emerging risk patterns.
8. Tiers, Commission Alignment, and Monitoring
LearnJoin may operate a tiered commission system that rewards consistency and quality. Tier placement may consider lesson completion consistency, attendance reliability, student retention, complaint history, and platform contribution. LearnJoin may adjust tiers, reassign teachers between tiers, and update percentages with notice where required.
LearnJoin may monitor attendance rates, punctuality, cancellations, feedback patterns, and engagement metrics for quality control and early risk detection. Teachers may use platform exception features (such as capacity overrides) where appropriate and controlled; repeated misuse may result in restriction of the feature or enforcement action.
9. Enforcement Ladder and Termination
LearnJoin applies progressive enforcement: (1) warning with guidance, (2) restriction — reduced visibility or limited bookings, (3) temporary suspension pending review, (4) permanent removal. Severe violations may skip steps. Suspensions may be timed (auto-restoring) or pending investigation.
Privacy-safe messaging. When a teacher is paused or under review, students see only a neutral message (for example, that the teacher is temporarily unavailable). The internal reason is never disclosed to students, and investigation records are kept confidential.
LearnJoin may remove teachers where standards are repeatedly violated, risk is created, or platform integrity is affected. Removed teachers may be restricted from re-entry and may require review before reinstatement. All enforcement decisions are made in good faith, based on available data, aligned with platform policies. LearnJoin does not guarantee outcomes satisfying all parties. Teachers must also comply with the Terms of Service, Payment Policy, Privacy Policy, and Responsible Use Policy.
